Chimera Engineering Rear Wheel Turbo Fan Aluminum Covers - ONYX RCR 80V

Onyx RCR 80v owners love to push their rides to the limit- whether racing through the desert or zipping through traffic. However, with that level of power comes heat, and the RCR’s stock cooling is limited by how much air can flow around the rear motor and wheel covers. 

When we collaborated with Chimera Engineering on the S-56 Outlaw project, we designed simple, salt-flat-inspired wheel covers, paying homage to our previous Honda "Cool Wing" project with Mooneyes. After receiving numerous requests for these covers, we knew we had to do more than just replicate the look—we needed to improve performance. Roque at Chimera Engineering developed a new design featuring internal vanes that efficiently pull air through the center of the wheel near the motor, exhausting the heat through the outer fins. As long as the wheel is in motion, the Turbofan helps circulate air and actively cools the motor.

• The slip-to-fit design means you can install or remove the covers in under 15 minutes—without even removing the rear wheel.
• As long as the wheel is in motion, the Turbofan helps circulate air and actively cools the motor.
• Valve Stem Access Opening, allows you to check tire pressure and fill in air when needed.
