Chimera Engineering Titanium "Color Series" received a costly coating and finishing process that brings color and shine to titanium like no other. Axle shaft is raw titanium finish. The installer could customize the thread end finishes by burning them to change the color.

Axle nuts are available in Black, Burnt Blue, Gold, and Raw Titanium.

NOTE: When used with stainless steel or titanium axles or bolts, it's recommended to use a little bit of anti-seize or MoS2 grease on the threads to prevent galling. Galling is a form of wear caused by adhesion between sliding surfaces. When a material galls, some of it is pulled with the contacting surface, especially if there is a large amount of force compressing the surfaces together.
