Chimera Engineering CNC clutch lifter plate for Takegawa Slipper Clutch for Honda Grom 125 is made from T-6061 aluminum! Chimera clutch plate is a direct replacement from the weak cast aluminum Takegawa unit that generally breaks when stiffer clutch springs are installed.
This CNC Lifter plate will NOT work for the stock OEM clutch, this lifter plate is designed for the Takegawa Slipper Clutch ONLY! For the Chimera CNC Clutch Lifter Plate, please see CH-1060.
Note: The finish on the clutch lifter plate is a matte finish since they are tumbled after machining to deburr the sharp edges.
Chimera Engineering CNC clutch plates are machined from T-6061 aluminum. Highly recommended for those who are planning to run stiffer clutch springs, the increased spring rate will put more stress on the clutch plate tabs. It's not a question IF the weak Takegawa cast aluminum plate will break, but WHEN will it break. Replace the Takegawa unit with a Chimera one and ride worry free!
The Takegawa bearing is an odd size and it's weaker than the OEM Honda unit. The Chimera CNC clutch plate would allow you to reuse the OEM Honda bearing, which is much stronger than the Takegawa bearing.
Made in the USA. Machined from 6061 billet aluminum and a tumbled process was used to deburr the parts, which creates the matte finish.
