The original Polaris transmission cover (OE Part Number: 0455454 / 0454553) which is made from weak cast aluminum would and could crack under hard driving, racing, or when there are engine performance upgrades. It's quite time consuming and costly to repair/replace. If the OEM cover breaks, there are chances that it could cause other damages as well.
